Created in 2005, the used tire management organisation Recytyre was founded by six of the world’s largest tire producers. This system of funding and collecting used tires is in keeping with regional regulations. The system works in together with the three Regions. More than 170 importers and exporters adhere to the system. There are almost 5000 collection sites in Belgium. In total, Recytyre handles some 65,000 tons of used tires. While setting up new services, increased tracking and more advanced checks, Recytyre brings sustainable solutions to used tires in Belgium by optimising the logistical chain and treating used tires in systems that respect the environment.
